Loan Forgiveness for Healthcare Workers

Promise Healthcare is a federally qualified health center that provides community health center services in Champaign County and surrounding areas.  By joining the Promise Healthcare primary care medical, dental, and behavioral health provider or nursing team, you may be eligible for one or more Federal or State loan forgiveness programs. 

Some programs that traditionally qualify are:

  • Allopathic Medicine (MD)
  • Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
  • General and Pediatric Dentistry (DDS/DMD)
  • Nurse Practitioner (NP)
  • Physician Assistant (PA)
  • Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH)
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Internship Opportunities

Clinical Internships

  • Who Should Apply: Medical, nursing, dental, and pharmacy students.
  • Responsibilities: Assist with patient care, conduct health assessments, and support clinical staff.

Administrative Internships

  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
